After a wildfire scorched its slopes and damaged infrastructure over the summer, Utah ski resort Eagle Point is making headway on repairs and sharing an update on what the past weeks or months have brought.
In a social media post, Eagle Point first noted that the cleanup of its Canyonside Lodge, which was one of several structures lost in the fire, was complete.
The resort added that lift assessments are advancing. While the upper mountain Monarch Lift emerged unscathed, others require repairs, replacement parts, vegetation cleaning, and engineering work.
“We are encouraged that the damage remains within the scope of our insurance coverage, helping provide a path forward for restoration,” Eagle Point said.
Finally, Eagle Point said that progress is being made on infrastructure restoration. Rocky Mountain Power has repaired the resort’s electrical grid, meaning the system is now ready to receive power once it is restored to the area.
This fall, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) plans to restore one-lane road access to SR-153 below Eagle Point, the resort also said.
While “recovery efforts continue every day as we work toward welcoming guests and homeowners back to the mountain in the future,” Eagle Point said, the resort still does not plan to open for the 2026-27 ski season.

The Cottonwood Fire surged through Eagle Point in June, leaving behind a path of destruction. The blaze damaged four out of five of the ski area’s lifts, touched roughly half of its skiable acreage, and burned down a warming station. 145 families lost a condo or home in the area.
Around a month afterward, pouring rain brought flooding that seriously damaged or completely washed away parts of the road connecting the town of Beaver to Eagle Point, SR-153, further complicating restoration efforts.
In the wake of the fire, Eagle Point’s owner Shane Gadbaw launched BeaverTUF, a nonprofit dedicated to recovery efforts in the community and areas impacted by the fire, working to address needs that insurance, FEMA, or other assistance programs may not cover.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
