“The Boys” may have ended with its fifth and final season this week, but there’s still more left to explore in the Vought Cinematic Universe.
Prime Video’s prequel series, “Vought Rising,” released its first trailer Friday morning, going back to 1950s New York City to show the evil origins of Vought and Jensens Ackles’ Soldier Boy. The trailer shows Soldier Boy suiting up for the first time in a retro costume as scientists at the evil psychiatric hospital Sage Grove Center, seen in “The Boys,” experiment on giving people powers. It also shows Soldier Boy teaming up with Aya Cash’s Stormfront for the first time. As “The Boys” fans know, Stormfront was one of the main villains in Season 2 and was revealed to be a Nazi before she was killed by the Boys.
The cast includes Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith. Dye returns as the supe Bombsight, who appeared in Season 5 and briefly battled Soldier Boy before giving up his super strength and immortality caused by the V1 serum. Posey plays a nurse-inspired supe named Private Angel, and Hochman plays Torpedo.
In addition to starring, Ackles and Cash also produce “Vought Rising,” which releases in 2027. Paul Grellong will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr and Jim Barnes also serve as executive producers. It’s is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
